Gail E Bragin

Gail Bragin has worked for ExxonMobil for 30 years, providing environmental science advice to affiliates worldwide. Gail holds a B.S. in marine science and M.S. in biology, and her primary assignment is currently to support ExxonMobil Chemical’s Oxo business. Gail provides product hazard and risk evaluations, technical input on environmental fate and toxicity issues, and has developed innovative approaches to environmental risk assessment of chemicals. She has extensive laboratory experience, directing a number of marine, freshwater, terrestrial and sediment toxicity tests, and has developed procedural methods for testing “difficult” (low solubility, volatile, multi-constituent/UVCB) substances in these environments. Gail has authored publications covering topics including the toxicity of physically and chemically dispersed oils in laboratory, mesocosm, and field experiments; bioaccumulation of poorly water soluble organic chemicals; and chronic aquatic and sediment toxicity testing. Gail is currently located at the ExxonMobil Biomedical Sciences, Inc. site in Clinton, NJ, and enjoys soccer and canoeing in her spare time.
