Paul Hodges is Chairman of International eChem (IeC).  IeC was founded in 2001 and has built a reputation as trusted commercial advisers, with a global focus, to the chemical industry and its associated investment community.  IeC’s clients include many of the world’s major companies and investors.

Paul’s aim is to bring Creative Energy to Important Issues. 

He is co-author of the influential ebook ‘Boom, Gloom and the New Normal’, which describes how demographic changes are taking chemical demand patterns in completely new directions.  He also writes regularly for the Financial Times on these issues.

In addition, Paul writes the well-regarded ICIS ‘Chemicals and the Economy’ blog (www.icis.com/blogs/chemicals-and-the-economy), and has been widely recognised for forewarning its readers of the current financial crisis.

Previously, Paul was an Executive Director of a major global business for ICI, where he worked from 1978 - 1995.  He was VP, European Aromatics and Derivatives, for DeWitt from 1995 – 1999; and VP Europe for ChemConnect from 1999 – 2001
