Mohamed Kadhem Al-Mazeedi was born in Kuwait in 1960. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration & Accounting from the University of Missouri, U.S.A., a masters Degree in Maritime Administration from the World Maritime University in Malma, Sweden and a Higher Diploma degree in Shipping Management from UWIST, Cardiff in the UK.
Mohamed has been working in the Gulf shipping industry since 1980. He worked in the New York offices of the United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) from 1980 to 1990. During his time there he held several positions with the last of them being the American Container Services Manager.
After leaving UASC, Mohamed returned to Kuwait to become the Superintendent at Shuaiba container terminal. He held this position from 1991 to 1996, when he left to be the Supply Chain Director at the EQUATE Petrochemical Company headquarters in Kuwait from 1996 to 2004.
In the fall of 2004, Mohamed was named the Chairman and CEO of the newly formed KGL Ports International.
Mohamed is fluent in Arabic & English. He is married and has six children.
