Paul Hodges is Chairman of International eChem (IeC).  IeC was founded in 2001 and has built a reputation as trusted commercial advisers, with a global focus, to the chemical and associated industries.  Paul’s aim is to bring Creative Energy to Important Issues in the areas of:
 

  • The ‘New Reality’.  Working with clients to understand the likely future impact of the economic crisis, and helping them to optimise their own position.
  • Business development.  Taking a commercial lead to help companies enter new markets quickly and profitably.
  • Sustainability.  Introducing new Resource Management concepts in the supply chain, using suppliers' expertise to reduce customer's costs.
  • NiTech Solutions Ltd.  Paul is also non-executive Chairman of this fast-growing technology spin-out from Heriot Watt University, Scotland.
  • In addition, Paul also writes the well-regarded ICIS ‘Chemicals and the Economy’ blog (www.icis.com/blogs/chemicals-and-the-economy).

Previously, Paul was an Executive Director of a major global business for ICI, where he worked from 1978 - 1995.  He was VP, European Aromatics and Derivatives, for DeWitt from 1995 – 1999; and VP Europe, for ChemConnect from 1999 – 2001.

He lives in London, is married with 2 sons, and is a tennis, cricket and skiing enthusiast.
