David joined Wood Mackenzie in 2006 and is a Consultant in the Energy Consulting Team, focusing on the global downstream sector. He has worked on numerous industry consultancy assignments including market analysis (refinery product supply, demand, pricing and trade), strategic advise, storage opportunity analysis, refinery feasibility studies, project finance and refinery valuations.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie David worked for the Bolivian Ministry of Hydrocarbons and World Bank for 3 years advising on downstream projects and upstream fiscal matters in Bolivia. Before this David worked in London's financial community for 6 years working as an energy insurance broker in Lloyds of London and as a consultant providing services to the majors on a wide range of matters focussing on risk management and project financing.

David holds a Masters Degree in Energy Studies from the Centre of Energy Petroleum Mineral Law and Policy, Dundee, and Institut Français du Pétrole, Paris.
