Dr. Mike Wharton is Secretary General for ATIEL, the Technical Association of the European Lubricants Industry. He was appointed to this position in January 2007 having retired from ExxonMobil after a research and development, marketing technical service and product management career in the UK and Brussels, with responsibility for automotive lubricants in the UK, Europe and Africa and the Middle East.
